Attentive and Patient Teacher I was waiting to be fluent in English enough to write my review of Tatyana's teaching, and this review is an example of how much I progressed with her help. Tatyana is a very competent teacher for each student's needs. I am older than 60 and never studied English before. She explains everything from perspective of our native Russian, prepares materials easy to use and with pictures. She is also a wonderful person, very attentive, always gives me additional time to ask questions. I started as a beginner from zero, but now I can speak and understand English in life situations. For example, I am able to do shopping without my grandson interpreting. My daughter wrote my profile here, but now I can write in English myself thanks to Tatyana. I need to know English to become an American resident. Outstanding Teacher who has a great teaching style and is very comprehensive. Tatyana was very effective with her teaching style. She provided me with all the material and her approach to teaching Russian was very logical and easy to follow. I also learnt about Russian Culture and she was very comprehensive and spoken English and Russian very well. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a Russian teacher to anyone. Wonderful Teacher Tatyana is a wonderful, well-equipped,and very professional teacher. Her manner is friendly and engaging, and she does a terrific job making sure that new material is presented in an easy to understand manner. Since beginning lessons with Tatyana, my understanding of the Russian language has come to a completely new level, and I am feeling increasingly at ease the more I work with her, while at the same time learning more and more, every lesson. I am looking forward to many more lessons with Tatyana. I am confident that she will continue to help me become increasingly competent with the Russian language.

Great teacher with flexible approaches Tatyana is a great teacher with sound tactical instruction. I mostly admire her flexibility and patience with me since I have not studied a language in years. Everyone may have certain needs or desire about learning a new language. Russian is not an easy language to learn, but I am confident Tatyana will adhere to your needs and please you with results if you put in your work. Having Tatyana as a Russian teacher has been nothing but a great experience! Tatyana has been my teacher for some time now and what makes her stand out from all the other teachers, is that she introduced not only the new language to me but also the culture and sociality of the Russian people. She is a very fun, knowledgeable, and patient teacher, who can really watch the articulation of a student and set the bar for him/her accordingly. I would highly recommend her to anyone who would be interested in learning the Russian language, and wants to leave her with full confidence when going out and speaking with native speakers. Excellent Teacher for Advanced Students Tatyana is an excellent teacher for advanced Russian speakers. Very seldom does she speak English, except in the case of a complicated explanation. She provides a lot of customized course material, but will let the conversation go to different areas as long as it promotes learning. Excellent teacher Tatyana is very effective as a language teacher. The materials for the lessons are very well rounded with a focus on making you a great Russian speaker. She also provides audio and written materials in between the lessons to improve your Russian. She is a very patient and skilled instructor that can teach all levels. Highly Professional and Very Patient I can tell Tatyana is a very competent teacher, because I am making a good progress. My English grammar has been improving, and my co-workers noticed that my conversation has become more correct and expressive. I used to have a lot of questions about English language, and Tatyana has been answering them with great attention and patience. Also, she makes comparisons to our native Russian language, which help me see the differences in English more clearly. I highly recommend Tatyana as a teacher of English.

Very pleased with classes! I am very pleased with Tatyana. She explains grammar and pronunciation very clearly, and always adds information about Russian culture as well. I always feel challenged in class, and I am always excited about studying at the end of each class period. Tatyana is very professional, but is also personable and fun. She is never late for class, and always sends me additional materials (audio and written materials) in between classes, so I always have a lot to study. I can tell that Tatyana has been trained both for teaching a larger class and for tutoring individuals. She has a clear lesson plan for each class, but she always caters to me personally (I meet one-on-one with her via Skype), and she is willing to stay longer on a certain topic if I ask for the extra practice. I highly recommend Tatyana. She is a trained, focused teacher who is very professional, intentional, and well-versed in the specifics of Russian language and language-teaching pedagogy.

Experienced, Qualified And Patient Tatyana has been effective in teaching me to read Russian words in a short space of time. While my ability to pronounce words with correct stress and clarity will require constant practice, I can see how important it is to have a native speaker teach the language right from the beginning. I lived in Kiev for three months. In that time I picked up a few words but I am glad I have started right from the beginning again learning the alphabet properly and learning to read Russian. Tatyana is able to explain concepts and the way the Russain language works in clear English. She is extremely qualified and experienced in learning and knowing how a student learns. Tatyana supplies materials over email that you work through with her and can use for your own practice.

A Competent and Gentle Teacher Tatyana is an excellent teacher, a native speaker with a strong command of all aspects of Russian. Her lessons are always well-organized; her good English is very helpful in explaining Russian grammar concepts by making a comparison between the two languages. Her culture updates are witty and to the point. And, the last but not the least, I'm charmed with her gentle and encouraging manner of teaching. A Very Patient and Reliable Teacher It has been a month and a half since I've been taking lessons in Russian language with Tatyana, but I can boast of my progress already! I needed a knowledgeable teacher, because I lost touch with Russian at a very young age and remembered very little, although Russian had been my native by birth. My memory was no longer as strong either, so I needed a patient and tactful teacher... Well, I've got the whole package! I feel like a winner for choosing Tatyana as a tutor. Despite the fact that she was a new tutor on this website, I was impressed with her educational background and contacted her. Since the first lesson via Skype, it's been a pure enjoyment. Tatyana is very knowledgeable and always well-prepared, but is not afraid to improvise if her student needs a helping hand. She is ever-patient and very gentle with me, even when I seem to test her patience with my memory lapses; always eager to explain challenging points over and over again, from different perspectives, so that I can finally grasp whatever she aims to impart. Not only is she a native Russian speaker, which makes her pronunciation and articulation genuine for the student to imitate: she has also a great diction, a distinct way of expression, important for the learning process. It also helps that she has an excellent English and can explain all the rules deftly to an English speaker, finding a delicate balance between instruction in English and practice in Russian. Also, Tatyana provides me with a generous supply of electronic learning materials, not failing to add helpful language and cultural info, including slide-shows on Russian culture, to textbook- and audio-lesson files before and after each of our lessons. Everything is well thought-out and selected for a learner. In just a brief period of time, I have found myself enriched with basic Russian skills: basic conversation, reading, and even writing in Russian. She is flexible in scheduling lessons. So far I've been taking them four days per week, but whenever I need to cancel and reschedule, she is always accommodating.
