My lessons are based on what the student wants to learn - with the proviso that they should be fun! I teach in a relaxed and positive manner and use all possible ways to help students to retain their learning and improve their language skills. I am convinced that we learn best when we are enjoying ourselves - this might mean something simple such as using funny drawings to help learn new words or teaching my business students how to tell jokes (an important skill at business lunches! :) ). We all learn differently and I use many different methods including music, conversationa l chat, stories, and encouraging students to write in the new language as this will help them to learn. Grammar is given if required and of course, students who need an exam result will be taught the exam methods to help them to pass.

I usually build my lessons around a particular Grammar point or situation, and prepare some vocabulary in consequence, then we can start to discuss around that lesson,the more naturally possible.
I believe that repetition is important, speaking about the same theme during one class help remembering the vocabulary,it also help with the words order and pronunciation . |

Making students feel comfortable and empowering their use of the new language are the most important components of my teaching style. I use a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement , and try to get students to speak even if they are unsure of themselves. The best way to do this is through games and targeting their interests. Repetition is also a key component of my teaching approach, as well as peer and group learning. |
