In my classes, I apply real-life situations in the professional world accompanied with a strong emphasis in academic knowledge. I want to connect language and cultural content concepts to students’ life experiences in order to maintain their interest in the subject. Students are much more likely to engage in a subject if they believe the topic is important to them.
I believe that as a teacher, it is my duty to challenge and support students according to their individual strengths and needs. I pre-assess students daily to determine the strategies more suitable to their needs and adapt lessons accordingly.
