I do not believe in one-size-fits -all approach. I will work with each individual and assess their knowledge of Cantonese. Then I will set up realistic targets to achieve a number of milestones.
1. Speaking and Listening:
This category goes hand in hand. You need to hear it before you can speak it. I will provide you a technique to master your speaking and listening. I understand the challenges when it comes to learning a language. I teach a group of 6 students every Saturday and each of them is at various levels. I have 6 different teaching styles for each student.
2. Understanding :
I will show you when and how to use the words. You will be able to apply what you learn as we go through each lesson.
3. Practicing:
Other than speaking and listening, you will master your writing skill in Chinese character writing. I will guide to write any Chinese characters just like the fonts you see in any Chinese publication.

Studying a foreign language should be fun and interesting.
I have studied English as a foreign language in Korea and as a second language in Canada for many years. And I am still a language learner of English and French. Since I studied Second Language Education (M.Ed) at U of O, I am able to understand the process of language learning from the learner's perspective as well as the teacher's perspective.
From my own language learning experience and +10 years of tutoring/teac hing experience, I can understand issues that most language learners might have and I know how to tackle them.
So, I try to keep teaching materials and methods interesting and challenging at the same time!
