Teaching approach: |
Teaching is an art not a science so the best formula to teach is to understand your audience first and to learn about their background . As far as I am concerned, my teaching approach will be based on finding out all I can about how such subjects as mine have been dealt with in higher education: how topics are treated, discussed, explained, taught, negotiated by others . Secondly, I will try to consider aspects of teaching and assessment where students can be given choice or flexibility. Lastly , I will Work through (in student’s imagination) different possible ways in which i will teach the essential material (during the organisation stage), e.g. by lecture, by discussion, by problem-solvi ng, role play or simulations, debate , online discussion, links to important sites, discussion of literary resources, self-managed learning materials. |

During my time in China, I taught many classes until now for kids, full time in summer and part time during my study . But these initial concerns disappeared very quickly. As well as being able to apply many of the techniques and skills I'd learnt during my teacher training course. A typical lesson might start with a review of the previous lesson and a quick warm up activity, followed by the introduction of a few new words or phrases. I'd then often follow this up with a written exercise to check the students' understanding , before finishing with a related communicative activity or a game. My students and colleagues were some of the most likable people I've ever met. Bright, hardworking, confident, and goodhumoured, they did everything they... |

A typical lesson of mine targets competencies and the development of skills. Culture and language are inseparable, and I strive to explain cultural concepts in the target language that will help students to engage with native speakers in an authentic and natural way. |

Basically, I give a free taster of 30 min to interview the learner , it enables me to see clearly his/her motifs to learn, and then tailor the lessons based on that.I have open door policy with my student, so they feel free to ask anything they want, and feel at ease within their learning journey . |
