First of all, teaching means to make a positive influence on the life of my students. I believe that through education a pupil will be in possession of the necessary skills to build a successful life. Enhancing my pupils’ critical thinking is extremely important and my endeavour is to make it possible for them to utilise the contents of my courses in practice. As a teacher, my responsibilit y is to make sure that learning takes place in a safe, supportive environment.
I am convinced that a teacher should be a facilitator. I believe that teaching should be centred around the students and their interests. In a classroom setting the teacher’s primary goal is to create the atmosphere in which students are able to have an experience with their new language. I employ structure in the classroom combing routines and procedures to help students be comfortable and confident in class.
