I am native Spanish speaker which allows me to understand the deeper intricacies of the language. I was born and raised in a South American country known for having a rich cultural influx. By being born in Bogotá, I was gifted with a neutral accent, which is able to be understood by anyone, therefore, it is easy to learn.
Mor eover, my experience as a Spanish teacher in my last job helped me to understand that it is necessary to approach their education with more varied techniques than simply reading, translating or memorizing. I developed strategies for awakening student’s interest through project-based learning to more effectively teach Spanish as a second language. By also utilizing Google plus, Prezi and Web 2.0 tools, kids have a much richer, fuller understanding of Spanish by relating it to their everyday experience. I would be a great advantage for a family who understands the importance of success in their children's lives. |

In my classes, I try to speak Spanish since the very first day. With beginners I use also their own language to help explaining some concepts but only those that cannot be explained in Spanish or using signs or designs. My experience tells me that this is the best way to end up mastering a language.
I´ m very detail-orient ed and I like to prepare carefully my classes. They are all differents because I adapt them to each student. |
