I make sure the student receives stimulation from all senses from my classes. Depending if the student wants to learn a language or acquire a language (there is a big distinction) I tailor my lessons to that end. I make sure my students feel included, engaged, and stimulated.

I like to keep language learning grounded in what you actually want to do with it.
