I want my students to know why the quality of their writing matters:becau se their is a purpose of why you are interested in learning swahili.
The most effective way of valuing learners,that I have adopted as well as providing a real incentive is by planning a range of ways of learning the basic swahili words to at least intermediate before we progress to an advanced level.
I use "think aloud" statements to the learners how these skills are used and how they can help them become better readers,write rs and communicators of the swahili language.
These strategies are then shared as a class, and then assessed in follow up guided reading activities
