Teaching approach would depend on the willingness of the student. Focusing on grammar, discussion, writing skills or specific vocabulary...
Any support can be helpful with french. By the past, I used for instance song, poems, or articles, depending of the interest of the student.
Homework is requiered and to me mandatory.
