I work with each student as an individual, establishing rapport and understanding of his or her pacing needs, special interests, etc. My students of all ages and levels have consistently expressed gratitude for my respect toward them, my contagious enthusiasm for and deep knowledge of my subject matter, and the enjoyment they experience during lessons. Also a professional writer, I am particularly devoted to the way that understanding Latin grammar, usage and expression can affect reading and writing in English. Along with a bachelor's degree in Classics (Latin and ancient Greek) from a prestigious U.S. college, I hold a master's degree in literacy education. |
