Hallo an alle. Mein Name ist John 42 Jahre alt. Ich mag Wandern, Natur, Lesen, Musik hören. Ich fange gerade an, mich für Meditation zu interessieren. Ich finde Geschichte, Wissenschaft und Philosophie sehr interessant.
Ic h liebe Deutschland, ich habe in meiner Jugend einige Jahre dort gelebt. Mein Vater war beim Militär. Ich bedauere, dass ich die Sprache nicht fließend spreche, während ich dort lebe. Die britischen Militärkinder und die einheimischen deutschen Kinder vermischten sich sozial nicht so sehr.
Ich lerne die Sprache jetzt sehr gerne. Ich bin immer noch auf einem ziemlich einfachen Niveau. Ich glaube, ich muss den nächsten Schritt machen und mit Deutschen reden.
Es wäre schön, ein paar deutsche Freunde zu finden. Ich helfe Ihnen gerne mit Ihrem Englisch so gut ich kann. Ob ernsthafte Lernsessions oder einfach nur ein Plausch bei ein paar Bierchen oder so.

Bisher habe ich auf Duolingo gelernt, aber als ich mir anhörte, was Polyglotte zu diesem Thema sagen, bin ich überzeugt, dass dies nicht der beste Weg zum Lernen ist. Von nun an konzentriere ich mich also aufs Lesen und würde gerne versuchen, mich mit Deutschen zu verständigen, egal wie schlecht ich am Anfang auch sein mag. Ich bin bereit, die Tatsache anzunehmen, dass ich jetzt am Anfang viele Fehler machen werde.
