I love to travel and explore the world. I am originally from New Orleans and most of my family are fluent in French. Although I can have basic conversations en Francais, I forgot most of my French once I moved away.
As for the Italian, I went to Florence, Italy, and instantly loved it. I plan on spending more time in the country and for longer stints, so I would love to be able to seriously navigate the country on my own.

I am 45yo, I am attending school full time and I have won a scholarship to learn in Nanjing Normal University for a year. I want to learn as much Chinese as I can before I travel there. I do not wish to be at a disadvantage there and slow my experiences down as I cannot understand the language.
I plan to leave for Nanjing in August 2015.
