Hi there, I'm a second-year pre-med college student that is currently working on my associates degree. I currently live in California (United States), however I plan to move back home to the Netherlands next year to continue my education. At some point in the future, after I've completed my studies, I hope to move, work, and eventually retire in Japan. This is why I have the desire to learn more about the language and culture surrounding the country.
If you want to know anything about me, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm here to make friends all in all. Also, I am not a gold member.

I'm a bit of a language nerd. I'm a native English speaker (American) and a Spanish teacher (I specialize in CI: comprehensible input & communicative language teaching). I lived as an exchange student in the Canary Islands, Spain (but do not generally speak with a Peninsular Spanish or Canary Island accent). I read for pleasure in Spanish and French as well as my native English. I also comprehend/speak some Italian and Portuguese. I love watching Questions pour un champion on TV 5 Monde and a guilty pleasure is RuPaul's Drag Race France, Spain, Belgium (with subtitles in the language so I can read and hear at the same time).

Spanish was my first language, and was freely spoken until I was five--all of my grandparents were born and raised in Mexico. Thereafter, it stopped. I had to relearn Spanish via working in restaurants, speaking with my parents, and taking one year of undergrad Spanish. I would like to become reading, writing, and spoken fluent, for both personal/family and business reasons, and to further connect with my heritage.

Hi my name is Ryan, I am from California. I've studied spanish for 6 years. I've always loved spanish culture, in fact I spent 4 months living in Salamanca Spain with a Spanish family. I returned home and now I'm looking to continue improving my Spanish. I enjoy going to the gym, surfing, swimming and running. I love music: I play piano and I love making movies. I am currently working on putting together all the film I recorded while on my abroad trip. All in all, I am more than happy to help you with your english!
