Hello! My name is Alex and I'm currently in the process of learning Mandarin. Although I don't have much time, I've been studying Anki flashcards for about a year, as well as trying to listen to various HSK-rated conversations. At times I'll even read and listen to CCTV simply to try and get used to hearing the words and tones. I started learning as a means to talk to manufacturers, but now I'm learning because I enjoy the challenge of learning a new language. I have a long ways to go, but I think that now is the time for me to start finding more ways to improve my skills than simply learning flashcards. translate

Hi! My name is Todd and I'm here to meet new people and learn more about other cultures. I took four years of Japanese and two years of Russian in high school. At the moment, I'm learning many different languages for fun. I won't list them all here. In my spare time, I like to draw and play guitar. I'm hoping to write several songs in the languages I'm learning some day. If we become friends, I might upload a video of me performing one of those songs in your language some time in the future. translate
