Hugo Pen Pals (Pen Friends)

Email Exchange of Language and Cultures (Penpals)

A language exchange with a pen pal from Hugo is an excellent way to make a friend from Hugo, learn about its culture and improve your foreign language skills.

This type of exchange is suitable for language learners of all skill levels, even beginners. Because you have a common goal to help each other learn while discussing common interests, you are likely to make meaningful friendships.

Compared to live conversation, there is less pressure, because you can take your time to use a dictionary or refer to your lessons at a time of your convenience. It is also a great way to improve your writing, reading and grammar skills.

Hello, my name is William and I want and need to learn Khmer. I help oversee 4 churches in 4 different villages in Cambodia. I work through a very nice Christian Cambodian lady. She speaks/writes/re ads some English and I speak no Khmer at all. :) She is a very humble lady and I feel bad that I cannot always understand her. I send her all sermons, Bible lessons and children's Bible stories. I call her 2-4 times a month and we will usually spend about 30 minutes more or less each time. There is so much that I want to teach to the Churches but am very limited now. I look forward to learning Khmer. Thank you. Respectf ully, William translate
