I was born in Shaoyang, Hunan. My parents and my early education were German. I came to the US at the age of 15 and have largely forgotten my childhood languages. My Chinese (spoken, only) is very rudimentary although words and 'music' return quickly when I'm with Chinese speakers. I'm looking forward to getting back some fluency.
