German
Hello, my name is Andy. I like to play the guitar, lift weights, and play video games. I live in the eastern United States, and I am learning German because I wish to speak more than one language, and why not learn the tongue of my grandparents? I hope to find a practice partner because as I build my vocabulary, I find that I tend to think too much in terms of the example sentences of my learning materials, instead of forming my own words. I also think it will be neat to talk to someone from another land. translate

French
I would like to learn to speak the French language. I have been practicing on my own; however, I need to hear the language spoken in order to correctly pronounce the words correctly. I was fortunate to visit Paris a few years ago and I wanted very much to speak the language while I was there instead of English. Hopefully, the next time I'm fortunate enough to visit France I will be able to speak in French with the help of a pen pale. translate

Ido
I want to learn how to write Ido because... because. I figure it would be a good base to start learning other languages given it's international roots.... and from my understanding, does not need special characters. I 'd be starting with the basics, have a variety of text messengers. Have a interest in history and philosophy. translate

Swahili
I am hoping to find out if a translation I have for a phrase is correct, and am also interested in finding out more about the culture. I do not know any Swahili at the moment whatsoever. I am unable to make the first contact so please if you are able to help, email me. The phrase is included at the end of my profile, if you are able to read it you can contact me. Again, if there is anything I can do for you please feel free to ask. I am a teacher here in the US, my students all have special needs, most have autism, 6 to be exact. And I will be happy to return the favor! Ndume Na Mimi translate
