I am a beginner. I'm planning a trip to Ireland in the near future to trace my family's blood lines and learn my heritage. I love all things Celtic and would love to be able to speak the language. I also am fascinated by languages in general and would like to learn to speak several of them fluently...st arting with Irish Gaelic. When I say I am a beginner what I mean is, once I start learning I'll be a beginner. I don't know anything more than a few words of the language just yet and need to learn just about everything. I am looking for flexibility since I'm a single mother with two kids. I'll need someone who will be patient and encouraging and able to communicate well be it in person or over the phone or email etc.

I am a beginner in Tagalog. I know only a few words. The reason why I want to learn how to speak Tagalog is so that I can speak to my family. It is very important to me that i can communicate with my relatives who are very limited in English. I plan to dedicate 10hours total a week or more learning Tagalog. I would rather have a professor teach the language very slowly and let students participate.

I am a reasonably proficient Japanese speaker. I have been to Japan a couple of times and am fascinated with the language and culture. I hope to one day move to Japan and teach English to kids over there. I am looking for a native speaker willing to spend an hour or two per week to help me learn Japanese.
