I completed three years of course work in Spanish during high school. Much of this has been forgotten, but I intend to learn it all again. I am presently using the Pimsleur program to advance my studies, but find myself needing conversation practice to enhance my working knowledge.
I have completed 2 semesters of course work in Japanese during my college career. I am also using Pimsleur software for Japanese, and again need conversation practice.
Mandarin-Chine se and Arabic I have no experience in at all besides a little dabbling online. I want to learn one of these.
I am interested in these foreign languages for a few reasons. Japanese culture and people have always fascinated me and so it only seemed logical to try and learn the language. I am also applying for a government position upon graduation and a working knowledge of these languages will make me exponentially more competitive.

I am an advanced beginner learning mostly from books, CDs, and language programs online. I want to learn to communicate in Spanish mostly for traveling purposes but also I would like to know another language. I need help in all areas but particularly in understanding conversations with other Spanish-speak ing people. I usually spend 2 hours per day studying Spanish. I would like to have a teacher who knows the Spanish language well and can help me improve my listening skills.

I would like to learn french because I travel to europe alot and many of my friends are french but do not have the patience to teach me. I also love the culture, art, music, and of course food. I am an intermediate speaker/liste ner of Arabic and would like to continue learning Arabic with the help of a tutor to keep up with my language. I think speaking is the area which I would like to focus on since it incorporates most other skills as well, it is also the most difficult skill for me. I would like to spend a couple hours each week doing small assignments at home and then meeting to practice speaking. I'm looking for a native Arabic speaker that is able to meet me individually at a coffee shop or restaurant to speak with me, correct my grammar and help with vocabulary. Also, if possible, I would like small assignments to work on during the week. I have a small baby, and I would like to bring her along to the speaking sessions. It is important that I find a tutor that is willing to work with me on that.
