I am a beginner student. I do have some rudimentary knowledge of Spanish. My Italian pronunciation skills are excellent. My goal is to be as conversant as possible for a trip to Italy I'm planning either later this year or in 2009.
I am willing to devote as much time as necessary to learning. However, it is also important that after the lessons I can find somehow to use my new language skills.

I just got back from a trip to Shenzhen, PRC, and found that there is very limited English spoken outside cosmopolitan cities like HK. I'd like to begin studing & learning Mandrin to improve my employability abroad. I'd like to learn conversationa l & reading skills first, as writing Chinese is no trivial task.
