1. Proficiency: Very Basic Beginner. Possess a small vocabulary. Grew up in a German neighborhood in NYC, where I heard much German spoken, including from my grandmother. I learned to count in German (through the thousands) at a young age.
2. I'm an amateur photographer, and I like to travel to Germany, take great shots; I want to spend more time on my trips talking with the people, who I find quite interesting.
3. I am also quite interested in German culture and history, and an understanding of the language will assist my studies.
4. I am spending a few weeks in Bavaria and Franconia next Fall; I would like to spend at least 10 hours a week studying German for preparation.
5. Qualities: I would like patience but at the same time, I must be pushed to keep improving to the point where I can have some rewarding German conversations in Germany. I require some flexibility with hours because I work full-time, and classes could be moved as a result of unavoidable events at work. Understandabl y, it would help if a class cancellation and rescheduling policy that is satisfactory to both parties could be agreed upon.
6. Particular improvement: Grammar (the different cases), prepositions and plurals (etc.), common verb tenses, useful vocabulary to make small talk.

Hi,
We are going to be hosting a Russian child this summer, age 6-8. We will need someone to help us translate while he is here. Our hope is to adopt this child. Should we adopt him, we will then need someone to tutor him in our home until he is able to understand English, and us some Russian, and help with his studies in school while he is adjusting. I understand the rate would be more, and not sure if this is something you would be interested in, or if you are somewhat close to our home to travel too.

Hi, My name is Laura Anderson, and I'm interested in learning Finnish. I want to be tutored in this particular language, because I'm half Finnish and my Finnish aunts are planning on taking me to Finland for my graduation. I'm sixteen years old, and I am willing to drive to any location around Sacramento, (Roseville, Rocklin, etc). Currently I am in my second year of French, but languages have always interested me in general, and I feel I have a knack for picking them up! I have never studied Finnish before, so I am a beginner. I am interested in learning conversationa l Finnish and Grammar. I want to dedicate atleast one hour a week to lessons, but I can dedicate more if needed or thought best. I would love a teacher who loves the language and enjoys teaching! Thank you so much!
