Originally the idea came from my 8yr old son. He wants to learn Chinese. My children go to school with all different nationalities , so this is probably where the idea originated. I would like to learn the language primarily because I want to know what my child is saying to me. Secondary reason is for business, I am a librarian.
We will need instruction from a beginner level. We can neither commit alot of time or money to the endeavor. My children go to the library after school so the instruction for them would take place there. I work at a different library, in the same neighborhood, so my instruction would take place there. We can only dedicate an hour twice a week, Monday and Wednesday evenings.
We are looking for an instructor that has alot of patience,comp assion and dedication. We want to learn the language to fluency, not just for basic conversation. So depending on fee this will be a long term commitment for us.

I took spanish for 12 years and french for 3, I also run a non profit and a catering company and would like to gain better conversationa l skills in the languages I listed so that I may be more effective at delivering my organizations message to people of different backgrounds and languages.
