I am beginner in Mandarin, Chinese. I would like to learn Mandarin because I have always had an appreciation for the language and culture of China since I was a kid. I would like for my lessons to have a conversationa l approach, but I would also like to learn how to write the Kanjis. I would like to have two or three lessons per week, but it would leave the frequency up to the instructor. I am looking for an instructor who really enjoys teaching Chinese.

I and 25% vietnamese and know short little words like pho tai, pho ga,egg roll (i don't know how to spell it), thank you, your welcome....an d mybe some more. My moms aunt it full vietnamese and is always speaking to me in that way. I have decided that i want to get more involved in learning because it seems fun and i like the language and i want to be able to understand and talk to other people in vietnamese. Of course some conversations i don't like other people to hear so i can talk to people who do understand vietnamese.
