I will be starting as a total beginner. I want to learn Farsi for possible career advancement and to associate myself with an ancient civilization that was once a world superpower. Perhaps an hour a day for the first month would be beneficial, and after 30 days, depending on how comfortable I feel I am, I can increase that to more time. I would like for the teacher to be extremely knowlegable in teaching Persian to someone whose native language is English with no experience in their language, and someone who is extremely patient and personalble.

I would love to learn Swahili - it's always been a goal of mine to learn another language and I've always wanted to go to Africa and see everything - the culture and everything just seems so amazing.
I have never tried to learn Swahili before, so I am an ultimate beginner.
I would prefer in my teacher : PATIENCE. I am a fast learner but slow to memorize, and I would prefer if the teacher had conversationa l ability and/or has actually been to Africa ( Tanzania ).
