I just arrived home from Italy after a two-week vacation. I picked up some of the language while on vacation there and want to sign up for lessons asap to keep it fresh. I am interested in private 1:1 lessons. Once a week is ample.

I am an American trying to expand my horizons and be better able to communicate with close friends and their families who are Indian and speak Gujarati. I would love to travel to India through and volunteer abroad type program and would be fortunate to learn this language before my travel begins. I am very much a beginner and only know a few words.
I would be willing to devote about 7-10 hours a week to this adventure and more depending on what my teacher suggests.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient and willing to focus on conversation rather than reading or writing. Both would be a plus! Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
