I have taken italian lanquage courses at CCAC over the years and have a basic understanding of Italian. About 7 years ago, I took private lessons with a tutor who coached me 2 evenings a week for about 4 months. I was able to achieve good communication skills in spanish while traveling on business in South America. I am willing to pay a fair fee for your time and coaching.
I am looking to achieve converstaiona l language skills in Italian to prepare for a vacation to Italy in August 2007, and I have a personal interest in learning the lanquage as I am a 3rd generation italian american. I may want to continue the coaching sessions after ny trip. I would like to be able to smoothly and effectively have discussions in italian--most ly in the present and immediately past tense.
I am willing to meet during the day or early evenings or Saturday mornings to learn. I work in downtown Pittsburgh and live in Shadyside. I will study the materials presented and will take the our time together seriously. I am not interested in learning dialects or the more fromal business communication s styles. I want to be able to handle myself very well while in Italy--sights eeing, airports, hotels, directions, restaurants, etc.
