I'm an advanced student of Japanese though there are many words that I don't know and I still require some thinking time when conversing. I lived in Japan for two years teaching English and just returned to America about a month ago. At this point, I am not planning to use Japanese in a future career, but things may change in the future. I have a very strong interest in learning Japanese and have been studying it for 9 years now. I would really like to work on Japanese conversation once a week for 1-2 hours. I don't require a text book (don't mind one either), just someone to talk to in Japanese as much as possible. I'm interested in music, movies, comics, sports, dancing, animals...etc . These would make great topics. I'm looking for a teacher who won't let me speak any English during the lesson and who will explain words, mistakes...et c in Japanese only.

My name is Kelly, and I am a college student planning on majoring in Japanese. Unfortunately , there are no community colleges in my area that offer any Japanese courses. I am looking for a personal tutor that is willing to meet in person for lessons, and is very patient! I will be starting from the very beginning of learning Japanese.
