I've studied via Pimsleur audio CD's for around 100 hrs plus 3 10-day trips in Brazil over the last 14 months. I speak Portuguese like a caveman.
# Why you are learning your foreign language
I am a missionary working with churches in Brazil: while this also means I'm poor (depending solely on the gifts of my supporters), I need to get proficient in order to likely take over Brazilian operations
# The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement
All areas, probably grammar is my weakest
# How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. 3 hrs/wk is ideal, but depending on what direction you give me, I'm willing to move my impossibly full schedule

Hej!
I have just returned from a 2-week trip to Ostervra, Denmark. It was short trip and I spent the majority of the time in a small town, but I completely fell in love with the country.
Living and working in DC, I'm more of a city girl, so I prefer the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen. While I will surely return in the next few months, I want to spend next summer (July 2007) in Copenhagen. If I can secure work, I will stay. If not, I will return to the US, work a while and then return to Copenhagen to try again.
As such, I figure the first step is to develop a command of the language.
I have no experience with Danish. I have experience with Spanish and can engage in basic communication in Spanish.
I am 35, I work at Georgetown University, hold a BA and an MA.
