I have only taken one week of Thai lessons from a teacher in Chiang Mai. I learned more of the language through immersion when I stayed with a host family in Baan Pa Pai, a nearby village.
I would like to return to Thailand soon, hopefully next summer. Every student at my high school is required to do a senior project, and I want to do mine in Thailand. I may do a community service project like construction or teaching English, or maybe learn a Thai instrument. I haven't decided exactly what I want to do yet.
I can make basic Thai sentences, know some expressions, and I know some nouns, verbs and adjectives.
I'm available weekends, and possibly Thursdays. I live in Marblehead and go to school in Weston. I know the MBTA well, so I can get to any T station where you need me to be.
I'm looking for a teacher who doesn't only teach through memorization, but with more interesting and creative assignments as well. I would also like to learn more about Thai culture through my study of the Thai language.
