Hello,
I am planning on going to Kenya soon to work for an aid organization. I would like to learn basic Swahili such as please, thank you, hello, goodbye, I would like, yes, no, etc. so that I may be polite while in Kenya. I have no experience with Swahili and am a beginner. I would like to dedicate a lot of time to my lessons. I would like a teacher that focuses on being able to carry on conversations and basic grammar. Hopefully after taking lessons here in DC, I will learn more Swahili in Kenya and improve.

Hello, I am a beginner level student wanting to learn enough of the spanish language to be able to fluently hold a conversation. My motivation comes from years of intrigue with foreign languages, specifically spanish. Setting aside 2-4 hours a day for study should be no problem. I would expect my instructor to be patient, motivating and consistent. I like to have flexibility built into the curriculum as well as variety. although I am usually a serious type learner, I enjoy a change of pace and fun learning techniques.
