I grew up speaking Cantonese in my house because my grandparents lived with us and they did not speak English. However, to this day I cannot read or write in Chinese. I still feel that my language skills are very beginner. I can make do with minimal conversation skills but I am in need of increasing my vocabulary and learning to read and write. I want to travel to Hong Kong and be able to make my way through the city. I would dedicate a 2-3 hours per week for language sessions. I need someone proficient in both English and Chinese that has good teaching skills and is patient.

I am interested in learning the Vietnamese language. I would be at a very beginner level but have frequent contact with Vietnamese community members. I would like to have some mastery of the language -- at least an abundance of essentials and a good competency in general communication situations. I am an adult learner.
A reas of improvement: I want to start to learn the Vietnamese language.
Teacher qualities: Patience and understanding .Able to communicate both in English and Vietnamese.
Time allocation: Likely, lessons at a minimum of weekly but will defer to what the instructor says is most effective.

I am working in Plano over the summer and am in need of a Spanish tutor. I have taken a few courses but have not really grasped the language. I am probably somewhere between intermediate and beginner. I work until 6 at night so the lessons will have to take place after that. I am motivated and want to learn. I need the most help in grammar but would enjoy work with conversation too. I probably will not be able to dedicate more than 4 hours a week with the tutor but would spend more time studying.
