Dear Sir or Maam,
I am at the beginner level of the italian language. I have taken a first level class at TCU (continuing education class) which was 2 hours/wk. for 10 weeks. My mother is Italian and my grandparents speak fluent Italian. I have been to Italy several times to visit relatives, feel a connection, and wish to speak the language.
My goal is to become fluent in Italian, and I would like to accomplish that before I retire in 10 years. At that point I am considering living in Italy, perhaps even working in Italy at that time. I feel that I would need a long term plan to accomplish this. I am also very intent on learning to speak Italian using correct grammar, not just to converse or 'get by'.
I would like private, or semi-private lessons, because I have a shifting work schedule and I need some scheduling flexibility with my teacher.
My only concern at this point would be the time commitment if I were to be traveling from downtown Ft. Worth (where I live) to Dallas. I am willing to do this, but I doubt I could do it twice a week. If the lesson were for 2 hours, that would be 4 1/2 hours for me to accomplish a lesson. I could definitely accomplish more lesson time if I were to have the lesson in Arlington or somewhere near the airport. Perhaps the lessons would be more frequent at first and then more spread out later ?

I am in Latin Year II at Garfield High School. We are currently using Ecce Romani Year 2. I am struggling with the memorizing the vocab and keeping up with the forms of nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. I would like one-on-one in person tutoring at first until I get a better hold on it and then possibly switch to phone or online. I would say just past beginner.i know the spanish alphabet and how to say hello ,goodbye.basi c colors and numbers etc.
I want to go to Colombia where a friend of mine is from but need to learn some more spanish.Also it would not hurt around Orlando to learn more. 1-2 hours a week would be good .I just need a patient teacher who can give me good homework.I want to speak with her not just repeat what she says.
