I want to learn Mandarin as I am having an online Romance with a Chinese lady in China, If it goes further, then I want to be proficient especially if I decide to go to China to work. I am a beginner and have a few CD's and Books But I also have a lot of questions and need feedback so I know if I am learning correctly. I would prefer live teaching for this reason. I also would like to learn to write proficiently enought to write chines for a living and/or be a translator in both speaking and writing. Even if nothing comes of the romance I would still like to have this skill for better employment opportunities . I am a 57 year old Man and my options are starting to get less as I get older.

Hello. My name is Cheryl and I am looking for a French tutor who is a native speaker, someone who can challenge me to be a better listener and speaker. I plan on taking a trip in May to a French-speaki ng country and it is imperative that I be prepared to speak French. I have already made the committment to read or listen to French at least one hour a day, but I am willing to extend the time necessary to prepare myself for my upcoming trip. Currently, I would consider myself an intermediate French student, and I am looking for a tutor who is willing and able to train me to listen for main ideas and who will give me a chance to respond freely, as I am usually shy to respond in French.
