W hy am I learning this language? Because I am a compose who is into Komitas's music and I love the culture there fore when i go to do my masters in Yerevan I have some sence of the language.
Areas that needs improving- Grammer and Conversation.
Time to dedicate to language- I would be happy to start with twice or 3 time a week, Lenght of lesson is up for discussion.

I am an advanced beginner. i need help mastering verb tenses, grammar and conversation. I studied Spanish in Elementary school and have used it on vacations to Spanish speaking countries. I plan to use it on my trips to Argentina and as a means to advancing my career.
I can dedicate 1-2 hours per week in lessons and several hours in homework. I have the Pimsler tapes and several other study aids.

I am a beginner. I have been trying to learn this language via 'do it yourself' disk and book lessons. Being that this is a tonal language I'd feel more confident in learning with a native of the language.
I am learning this language because I am marrying into a vietnamese family and I am not vietnamese. My mother in law only speaks vietnamese and I wish to communicate with her...my husband only speaks and understands it & cannot read or write it...he speaks primarily english.
We plan on having children together and I want to teach my children this language as well.
I need to learn Conversation! ! & grammar...als o culture if possible.
I will dedicate as much time as necessary...I 'd like to learn excessive amounts each month.
I 'm looking for a friendly teacher, someone who isn't discriminator y against other people in blatant or subtle ways at all.. Also someone who KNOWS the language and isn't afraid to tell me if I sound like garbage when I speak it...because I want to speak it and not get laughed at haha!

I am looking for a teacher with whom I can study beginning Modern Hebrew for five weeks, beginning approximately Dec 21, 2005. I currently am a Junior at University of Maryland and will be home for winter mini-session during that period. Specifically I need to learn the first ten chapters of HEBREW FROM SCRATCH PART 1 WITH DICTIONARY, by Chayat. This would be in preparation for Part 2 which I plan to take Spring semester at UMD, beginning at the end of January. (Secondarily I may be interested in some additional tutoring during the semester if I find I need it.) I am flexible about dedicating as much time as required to achieve the goal and I would need a teacher willing to support me in that My only training in Hebrew was at a Reform Judaism temple in preparation for my Bat Mitzvah as a teen but it was primarily phonetic reading rather than grammar and vocabulary.
