My husband is from Holland and we are expecting our first child in October. I know that he is intending to only speak Dutch to the baby and I would love to be able to understand what he is saying to her. I am a beginner, even though I understand a few things from visiting Holland over the summer. I mostly am interested in learning conversation for now. Right now I have alot of free time so I could dedicate at least two hours a day to learning the language. I just hope to find a teacher who is patient and enjoys teaching Dutch and who knows how to make learning a fun experience.

Very advanced, I consider myself fluent. I have lived in Brazil for several months at a time and I often work in portuguese in DC. I want to improve my advanced reading and business writing skills (letter, emails, etc...)
I can dedicate 2 hours a week to classes and several hours studying.
I am looking for a teacher that will push me hard so that I improve. I will study a lot outside of class so I would expect my time one on one with the tutor to be effective, with lesson plan and ideas of difficult grammar, articles, or compositions to work on.
