This is for my daughter she has been home schooling for the last 2 years and just started teaching herself Japanese. She has relatives that travel abroad and is infatuated w/ the language and culture. She began high school this year and living in a remote area the only electives she has to choose from are drafting/heal th/P.E./comput er. Their is no language, arts, drama, and/or music courses, to choose from (she plays the piano well and taught herself also), I am looking for an opportunity to get her the skills she will need to pursue her desire to learn this language. I studied Russian for several years in high school. I studied abroad in St. Peterburg, Russia for two months in 1995. When I started my undergraduate degree in Fall 1995, I was placed in second year Russian. I then completed third year Russian. I have not studied Russian for over five years. I would guess that my profficiency level is intermediate. My ultimate goals are to become fluent in Russian. I would like to use this in my career. I am looking for an instructor in the LA area.
