Some years ago I decided to learn a second language simply for fun. An acquaintance I knew at the time had expressed that they had decided to learn a second language in their middle age stage of life and found it to be very enjoyable. In an article on learning a second language as an adult, there were findings that it was beneficial for mental qualities. At the time I lived in Houston and found a private tutor that was very reasonable and started lessons of 1 & ½ hours a day four days a week. As a result of relocation to the East (Delaware) I have not found any private lessons available. I have acquired a Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur set of DVD/CDs. I am interested in finding a more personal approach and start again.

I am learning Assyrian because I speak it fluently, and I want to know how to read and write it. In assyrian I would say I am in an intermediate level. Reading and Writing is what I really want to improve with, but conversation would be nice to improve. I am willing to dedicate 60 to 90 minutes a day to this language.
