I came here in US last Summery from Japan. I have learned Chinese for a year expecting to station in China. During that period, I've traveled in China to challenge my Chinese skills. Although I am now in US, I felt I should resume the lesson again since I believe the language skill could bring me the wider mind and a chance to understand the culture. I have been lazy for a year but am now ready to study hard to catch up with such blank period.

My proficiency level is, beginner - intermediate. I have studied for years, however, my grammar and conversation skills are lacking. I would say that I have an intermediate level of skill from book learning, but beginner level skill of actual conversation. .....I have never had the luxury of being able to 'converse' more than once or twice monthly, thus my conversation skills are limited.
I am learning French because I hope to one day visit France, and I have always enjoyed the French culture.
I woiuld like to dedicate 10+ hours per week to my lessons (study and instructions) and would like to be able to spend 2+ hours per week in conversation, either in person, by phone, or on-line.
T he qualities I would like to see in a language teacher, is the ability to teach the language as it is currently being spoken in France, and also to have 'fun' with the lessons/teach ing.

I am the mother of the child that is half black and Arab. I would like for my daughter yo know both languages. My daughter needs beginner level she is around her dad but does not know language. At once or twice a week. I would like if the teacher has experience with working with students that do not know there second language at all.
