I learned some Amharic vocabulary in 97 when I visited Ethiopia. At that time I phonetically learned the alphabet though I've forgotten most of it. I would like to meet someone weekly or every two weeks to learn the language. I would like to learn to read and write it but conversation is the priority. Please contact me through this website. Hello. Almost two years ago I visited India for one month with my daughter. I learned a few words before going, but have wanted to learn the language since returning for many reasons. I plan to return for another visit(s) and hope to possibly do some business in the future. My daughter also has a desire to learn the language. I have over the past year searched for a Hindi instructor in Seattle, but have had no luck. Today I did another search and came upon this website. I am looking for a teacher who speaks both Hindi and English well. The Seattle area would be great, but if the instructor is from the eastside that is ok too. I might be up for travel or they could visit my home to teach both my daughter and I. I am hoping for at least one lesson a week (possibly two at the start of instruction). This will also depend upon the cost. Some phone and e-mail lessons would be ok too. What I need is someone to keep me on task with some structured lessons...som eone who can teach me the sounds...some one to converse with. I want to learn Hindi!!!

I am a beginner. My best friend is from Belo Horizonte, Brasil, and I have visited the country twice. I love it there, and plan on going back as often as possible. So, I figured, why not learn the language?
I am very good at picking up pronunciation s. I had five years of French in high school, though I have lost much of it now. I can still read and understand it, but my speaking and vocabulary are pretty bad.
I would be willing to dedicate an hour or two per week to classes. I am looking for a personal tutor, who does sessions in person.
