Proficiency level: beginner. Know a few hundred words and am currently learning the alphabet.
I want to learn the language because I live in Detroit and there are a great number of people in this area that speak Arabic. I look at it as a challenge. It should be fun.
I have no written skills at this point, but am more interested in learning to speak the language first.
I could spend a few hours a week learning.
I would need someone to teach me that has some patience as I am a beginner but they should know that they would not be wasting their time as I am determined to learn the language.

This is for my son. He is 15 and is in the second year of high school spanish. He is learning disabled and also in a school for the gifted. So while he speaks Spanish fairly well he is having a lot of difficulty with written work. We want to hire someone to come to our home on the upper west side once or twice a week.

I am a beginner in Vietnamese language and seeking a teacher to study with in person who resides in/near the Philadelphia, Pa. area. I live in Delaware County, in Drexel Hill, Pa., USA. I plan on taking a trip back to Vietnam ( I was there in 1968 - 1969). My fiance is also Vietnamese and I want to be able to eventually speak the native tongue. Thank you for your assistance.
