I want to learn Chinese as a career advancement. I already speak cantonese semi-fluently but know mandarin vaguely. I want to enhance my career by cultivating the languages I already have embedded in me. However, I need tutoring because I am completely illiterate when it comes to reading characters and writing them too. I want to dedicate about 2 hrs per week. I took an 8 week night course for ASL 1, so I know the basics. I LOVE learning the language, so I tried to do a credited course at the collegel level (ASL II), but due in part to my fear of formal education classes, I was floundering. I would do better one on one or even a few people in a class. If you are currently working with a few students, and I could join you in that, that would be great. Or if you want to set up private one on one tutoring, let me know. Thanks.

It is important to me to learn the Ukrainian language because my grandparents on my father's side are the only two in my family who can speak it. I'm proud of my Ukrainian heritage and would like to be able to teach my children.
I am a beginner. I understand how to pronounce a few of the letters of the alphabet.
I need practice in all areas of the language. Ultimately, I'd like to be fluent in the language and be able to read and write Ukrainian.
I am able to devote two days a week to lessons, but can also practice throughout the week during free time.
I am looking for a tutor who can be patient with me, while pushing me to do my best at the same time.
