Hello my name is Ashley and I have always wanted to learn Tagalog. I am Filipino, and feel I should learn learn the language so that I can teach my kids when I get older. I don't want the Filipino culture to die with me. I am a beginner, I only understand a handful of words and can read Tagalog fairly well, but cannot understand half what I read. I am will to put forth daily effort toward learning the language, as I live with my other who is fluent in Tagalog and Bisaya. I'm looking for a teacher who is patient and willing to help, and I prefer to learn in a class/group setting if possible. I also have a cousin who is interested in learning too.

I am half Polish, but my family did not teach me the language, so I want to learn it now. I am a beginner and need improvement in all areas. I would like to to meet with a tutor once a week for 1.5 hours and will supplement my learning through online and audio courses.
