I would like to learn Gujarati as I have been married for some years now into a family that originate from a village near Nawsari in Gujarat. No-one in my husband's family has the skills to teach Gujarati as a foreign language and my husband claims that his Gujarati is limited to very informal slang (However he seems fluent-enough to me when talking to his brothers and sisters!). He cannot read or write Gujarati and my learning style means that I need to see the written word in order to learn.
My preference is to have weekly private lessons on a 1:1 basis in my own home but I am willing to consider alternatives. Athough I am not prepared to travel far from where I live in Walthamstow or work in Enfield due to long working hours and limited spare time.
I am a complete beginner.
