Re:So, what book you reading?
I am reading the book " the umbrella man" writting by Roald Dahl. It is a funny book and ironic about the human behavior. Sometime Roald Dahl descibes the british society with a acute view and a litlle bit philosophy. This book is wonderful.

Re:What book are you reading now?
I am fond of philosophy, novels, sciences. Two books did leave a mark on my life: Candide or the optimist, it is a picaresque novel by one of the most influential french philosopher Voltaire. The second one is the flowers of Evil (les fleurs du mal) by Charles Beaudelaire. Beaudelaire was one of the most influential french poets. He depicts the banality of society throughout his work in an honest and poetic, which makes it well worth reading. Best regards

Re:Re:Looking for a good book
I give you a piece of advice: les lettres de mon moulin writting by Alphonse Daudet. A nice book about the provence in the 19 century which describe the french people and the landscape of the south of france. This book is easy to read. Best regards

Sartre and Camus
Don't worry about the dates. I am around! My favourite by Sartre was The Age of Reason which I read both in English and French. A great introduction to existentialist dilemmas concerning value and a very good 'thriller'. Camus's The Stranger I also read in both languages -- such indifference! Read my profile and ask me a question about books, or about English language.

Hmm. December 2013. A long time ago. Have you ever read Dracula in the original English? It is a work of art - not really that horrifying. Check my profile and reply. - John

Re:Any books for intermediate level? in spanish please
Hi Ella,
I love Isabel Allende books, you can try Retrato en Sepia or La casa de los espíritus. I wanted to recommed García Márquez but it´s a little complicated if you are learning spanish, maybe you can try some short books from Mario Vargas Llosa (Peruvian) excelent writer. Good luck!

German Books for Beginner
Does anyone have any children's books that are accessible for beginner-to-intermediate German learners? If anyone is learning English and would like to simultaneously read the English version of it, I'd be all too happy to help!
