Problem in language learning
Hi I'm learning German and am looking for some tips here..

Ich habe Deutsch zwei Jare gelernt. Ich kann Schrift (mit einem Woerterbuch..) meist verstehen, aber ich spreche langsam und schlect..

Particularly, I have problem determining the German word order when making sentences...

Anyway, this is not my main thing I want to ask here. Guys, have you ever practised your target language in real world, tried your best to produce a simple sentence (e.g. to ask for direction), only to find you cannot understand a bit what the native speakers have to say in return?

What will you do? Keep asking the other party to slow down or rephrase...(need some guts..haha) or simply switch to a common language?

I hope someone patient out there could help me with my German/English! I can offer you Cantonese/Mandarin/English in return, and I won't mind if you stop me and ask questions..hehe:)

Re:how can people do when they learn 2 foreign language at the same time
I am Chinese. I speak very well in English, and I study Spanish at school. I can see how you would be struggling with German and English. My advice to you is to learn one language at a time. Though, keep practicing. I don't think you found this helpful, but good luck, anyways.
