Re:Re:Re:What's the difference between JOY and HAPPINESS
Thanks Dawn for your explanation . A bit cofusing though. What you explained was contradicting what other member explained early. Might be lack of my understanding of the sentence. I am really trying to learn. Thanks anyway. Merry Christmas.

Re:Re:What's the difference between JOY and HAPPINESS
I think happiness is a pleasant feeling that comes and goes depenging on outside circumstances and events while joy is a state of being that is a little more stable, deeper, and even more spiritual.

Re:What's the difference between JOY and HAPPINESS
When something gives you joy, you may not be happy. example: you see a mother playing with her child and it gives you joy to see them. but you may not be happy with your life at that time or you have had bad news so you are not happy. If this doesnt help, write back!

What's the difference between JOY and HAPPINESS
Hi,my name is Jaemin. I had a discussion with one of my church fellow and he said even if you are not happy, you can have joy. As a Korean studying English, I couldn't quite understand the difference between joy and happiness. Can anyone help me to understand?
