Looking for Norwegian Penpal
I'm a 25 year old looking to get better with Norwegian and German languages. I am good with English and have self-taught German for the last 4 years. I have lived in the US, Japan, Guam and have traveled to Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Saipan, Pagan, Tinian, France, Spain, Djibouti and other places I cannot remember now. Greetings!
Hello friends, I'm Suzy from the USA. I speak and write fluent English and am interested in learning Norwegian. My grandfather came to the USA in 1919, after being born and raised in Trondheim, Norway. I realize there are many different dialects in Norway, and that they vary greatly. I am most interested in learning the dialect being used in the Sor-Trondelag region, as I hope to one day make the trip to Trondheim and see where my grandfather was raised. Additionally, a little education in the traditions and social norms of the area would be greatly appreciated!
