Re:Is Good Friday as strict in other countries?
Si[Yeah]... it is Aoife!! ;-p They tend to eat fish on Good Friday in many Christian nations, and some will go as far as just eating fish on any friday. Fish is considered as a meat [or is it? - as that's what I've been told], as it is a "fleshy" food! In Mexico, they have a festival which is known as Semana Santa [Holy Week], and is very much celebrated in some 'traditional' smaller cities such as Taxco and the like, with parades and that kinda stuff! No, I've never been... but what I've seen, it looks kinda awesome! Take care. ;-p

Easter is coming!
I'm not allowed to judge if I'm a good christian or not, but I think that most people have forgotten the meaning of this Holy Day!

Re:Is Good Friday as strict in other countries?
Hello, In Belgium, you cannot eat meat too, and you have to pay attention to everything you are eating (like chocolate, candys, etc.). But this habit tends to disappear with new generations. However, the shops are not closed, and everybody works as usual.

Re:Anyone can help me with Dutch
Hello, Dutch is not my native language (which is French) but I've learned it for 7 years. I don't practise it anymore in my job and begin to loose it... If you need some help or some basis vocabulary, I can help you, it will be good for my memory too! Virginie
