A question about German pronunciation
Hi all,
about the vowel pronunciation ,"if the root form of the word is long ,but the inflected form is followed by two consonants.the long vowel remains long."
does it mean that if the vowel is short because it's followed by two consonants ,then the two consonants must abut on each other? if there's another vowel between them ,then the vowel before still lasts long, right?
please give me the answer ,thank you very much.
